Declaration

1. Conflicts of Interest

A conflict of interest exists when personal relationships (such as friendships, collegial, or family ties), professional or business relationships (including employment in competing organizations), or financial interests (such as funding or sponsorship) have the potential to influence the judgment of individuals involved in the publication process, including authors, reviewers, and editors.

To ensure research integrity and uphold professional standards, all parties are required to disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest prior to participation in the review or publication process, in accordance with the journal’s conflict of interest policy.

2. Authorship

Authorship is limited to individuals who have made substantial intellectual contributions to the conception or design of the study, or to the acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data. All listed authors must approve the final version of the manuscript prior to publication and agree to take collective responsibility for the accuracy, integrity, and ethical standards of the work.

Contributors who provided assistance in the research or writing process but do not meet the criteria for authorship should be formally acknowledged in the acknowledgment section of the article.

3. Authors’ Responsibilities

Authors are responsible for submitting original work that complies with ethical standards and the journal’s publication policies. Manuscripts must not be submitted simultaneously to multiple journals, and plagiarism or self-plagiarism is strictly prohibited. Authors should properly cite all sources, disclose any prior or overlapping publications, and carefully review their work to ensure originality. Authors must also declare any actual or potential conflicts of interest to ensure transparency and enable objective editorial and peer-review decisions. The corresponding author is responsible for confirming that all listed co-authors have approved the authorship and the submitted manuscript, thereby upholding scientific rigor, ethical conduct, and readers’ trust.

4. Editors’ Responsibilities

Editors are responsible for managing the peer review process efficiently, fairly, and in a timely manner. This includes acknowledging receipt of manuscripts, informing authors about the expected review timeline, selecting qualified and independent reviewers, and providing clear guidance on the scope and focus of the review. Editors must ensure that all evaluations are objective and free from bias. Based on reviewers’ reports, editors make final decisions to accept, reject, or request revisions. In cases of conflicts of interest, editors must disclose and appropriately manage them by ensuring independent review, thereby maintaining scientific rigor, ethical standards, and the trust of authors and readers.

5. Reviewers’ Responsibilities

Reviewers should accept assignments only within their area of expertise and must promptly inform the editor if they are not qualified or unable to complete the review within the specified timeframe. Reviews should be conducted objectively, fairly, and confidentially to ensure an efficient and rigorous peer-review process. Reviewers are required to disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest—such as personal, professional, or financial relationships with the authors or the research—either before or after completing the review. Disclosure allows the editor to evaluate the situation and, if necessary, seek an alternative review, thereby safeguarding the integrity, quality, and credibility of the scholarly review process.

The Eurasian Journal of Management & Social Sciences (EJMSS) is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics.
